BECOME A MEMBER

So you are excited to make new friends, get involved on campus, and serve the community? We cannot wait to meet you!

We are 100% inclusive. We do not offer bids for membership- you choose to become a member. Joining us is a choice you will not regret making.

We are not part of the Panhellenic Association, which means we do not participate in traditional sorority recruitment. We hold our own recruitment process each semester and it is totally unrelated to Panhellenic recruitment. However, you can join both GSS and a Panhellenic sorority if you want to!

We recruit new members every semester! Here is a quick guide on how to become a sister of Gamma Sigma Sigma:

  1. Activities Fair (First week of each semester): Check us out at the Student Activities Fair to get some quick information on GSS and be invited to our Information Sessions.

  2. Information Sessions (2-4 times at the beginning of each semester): Attend one of these to meet our current sisters and learn more about the sorority, who we are, and what we believe in.

  3. Recruitment Week (Usually a week or two after the Information Sessions): This is when the fun starts! Participate in our daily recruitment activities this week to socialize with sisters and get a taste of what life as a Gamma Sig is like.

  4. Induction (Usually a week or two after Recruitment Week): This is a quick ceremony that officially makes you a Member-In-Training of GSS.

Once we have finalized dates for each event, we will post them on our social medias. Also, keep an eye out for our posters and flyers around campus!

If you ever have any questions about joining GSS, our wonderful Membership Vice President, Sarah Plunkett, would love to answer them for you. She can be reached at skpst301@mail.rmu.edu.
